Books can be said to one of the best friends. My favorite book has been Jungle Book, Indian Upanishads, Ramayana and Shreemad Bhagawat Gita. In this essay, I will talk about Upanishads and Shreemad Bhagawat Gita. Upanishads are a group of books that consist of vast metaphysics where we can learn about our own existence. It has the ability to trigger our thought processes and make us aware of our true existence.
My favorite book taught me how to live in society, how to behave with people, how to understand myself, and many other things. They are my friends whenever I feel alone. It makes me realize that I have to feel within myself to get inner happiness. Everything is within me only. Be it happiness or sadness, they are all inside us. We have to filter out the sadness and keep only the happiness. This was the greatest lesson that I learned from the Upanishads.
What did I learn from the Jungle Book?
No matter what Jungle Book is one of the favorite books of kids. It was written by Rudyard Kipling. It gives a perspective of the Jungle in an easy way. The lead character Mogli and the relation between the wolves and animals of the jungle are fantastic. This book gives a wonderful understanding that humans, animals, and plants everything are connected with each other. No animal is inferior or superior. However, there is also the factor of human greed with which the jungle is always in danger.
What I learned from the book Shreemad Bhagawat Gita from the Mahabharata.
Shreemad Bhagawat Gita is the interaction between a confused warrior, Arjuna, and the enlightened king, Lord Krishna. This book was composed by Krishna Dvaipayan commonly known as Vyasa. It teaches us that whatever we do is all done by our consciousness. We shouldn’t worry about the future, instead, we have to focus on our work without any expectation. This makes us realize that if we do any of our works in the best way possible. We shouldn’t expect the results because it gives us stress.
This book also teaches the importance of knowledge in life. There is nothing greater than knowledge. We should also follow the quest for knowledge. It helps to feel happy and live a wonderful life. Apart from all these this book teaches us many more things which cannot be explained in one essay on my favorite book.
What did I learn from the Upanishads?
From the Upanishads, I learned the deepest secrets of our lives. I understood that understanding ourselves is greater than understand all the people in the world. However, learning Upanishads needs expert guidance. I am very happy to get initiated into this book by my teacher.
Conclusion: Essay on my Favourite Book
The books are the best friends. Everyone has their own favorite book. We have a lot to learn from each book. However, we need to sometimes unlearn also to get a proper understanding of any book.
